Humanitarians receive leadership training in Nairobi

Last week, 26-30 October, 21 humanitarians were trained in Nairobi as part of the Leadership for Humanitarians programme, delivered by Relief International as part of the Talent Development project.
The training is intended for humanitarians who want to become change masters within their organisation. Participants learn how to inspire trust, communicate a clear and compelling purpose,  align systems, and unleash talent in their teams.
This group was composed of high performers and senior managers from local and international NGOs throughout the region (Kenya, Uganda, Somalia and Ethiopia). One participant said “The training was worth every minute spent and a “MUST” know for every leader. I have self-discovered myself and now know what to do to be a great leader.”
Last week was the third such training and is part of a longer three month programme which includes the evaluation of leadership skills, implementation of an eight week action plan, support via website with alumni group, tools, articles, and videos, personal coaching and teaching others.
